They come over to one of our houses, and we dictate to them what we want written. Then they go a put in on the internet. If we want to do a promotional video, we have to call Youtube and get them to send a film crew out.

As was mentioned before, it's just another click of a button to get to the forums, and a lot of retards on the internet won't like that. Also, unless you know (and I mean really KNOW) that you have someone who you can rely on to update the blog every day, or week, or whatever you set it up to, it will get out of date really quickly. This will make your board look unappealing, because if stuff is out of date, then it will turn people off of the forum. Now, the 3DS thing sounds very VERY good, however as was mentioned before, you guys will have to sort of guess and try and pick the best and most appealing game to go with primarily. There are a LOT of titles coming to the 3DS, and by a lot I mean a lot of REALLY good ones. Stuff like Assassin's Creed, Splinter Cell, Metal Gear Solid, Kid Icarus, etc. These titles all sound promising but it all comes down to which one you guys pick, and hopefully you pick the most popular one. The good thing is that most of them will be very popular, so even if you don't pick the best one of the lot, you're still going to get a lot of new members. I couldn't agree more, so thanks for expressing what I couldn't find the words for. Essentially, we've got a few more big details to sort out here before we can start any kind of recruitment campaign or schedule any real events (meetups and tournaments). One of the biggest details I've got to hammer out with you and co. Once that's done, we'll look to get a new banner, a few more cosmetic forum changes, and then we'll all buckle down in a topic or two to decide which games to seriously cover. I imagine that we'll narrow that big game list down to 10 or so big titles. Once we have more details {such as 3DS online stuff (I'm praying for 1 FC across all games, native to each 3DS), 3DS launch date, game release dates, games online competitiveness/fun, all that jazz} we'll narrow that list down to a handful. I'd like to avoid making any big decisions until we have a good talk, MLS, because if we reach an agreement that's acceptable for everyone then your side will certainly have your say. He also told me he might ask the opinions of all the members. So we'll have to see how it goes. We do still need to talk one on one though, I think that would be good for everyone. Bacon: MK3DS does sound like a viable option, but I have a feeling that the system is being driven towards more hardcore/older gamers. Nintendo even said that the 3DS should not be played by anyone under 7 because of the long term effect on the eyes. That being said, if we're mostly getting older gamers, we may want to go with a game like Assassin's Creed, or Splinter Cell, etc. Edited by MLS, Jun 21 2010, 11:23 PM.

If you had (staff) members active and dedicated enough to follow 3DS news, then, I would have said go ahead. But, considering that 3DC is NEW and not popular as a gaming news website, it would be a bad idea. However, I still suggest having a general 3DS gaming community CONTAINING a clan. For example, you could have 3DSCentral.com with BDC IN it (BDC could have its own category or something). This would would attract WAY more people and even members that aren't interested in being part of a clan (since there would be a community available for them). I know for a fact that people are actually SCARED of the word clan because they think it's all about competitiveness. But, BDC, and IBC... well... They're not like that. Oh, just had a funny idea. Instead of hosting ONE clan on that larger forum (in this case, BDC), host TWO clans on the larger forum (BDC and IBC (for example)). Not only the concept is ORIGINAL but, it provides you with an automatic RIVAL CLAN, EASY clan battles and a whole scheme around this. Heck, you could make a story and even put some role-playing elements in there to make this intended rivalry really fun. But, that's just me dreaming and having fun.

I see you posting now so er... go read your PM >.< I have some doubts about MGS and AC's online viability though. We'll be looking for games that are both fun and competitive. And as I said, the release date will be an important factor. We're not gonna be flooded with excellent online games to drown in on day 1, don't worry about that.
