I'm curious what you guys have been doing in the time that's past since we were actively talking to each other! Post about what you're currently doing in life, and places you've been hanging out on the internet and other nerdy endeavors. Life: Enjoying summer. Going into my senior year next year. Still trying to get a car. Really nothing interesting or different. I still live in the same area of NY, although I did switch to a private school a couple years ago, don't know if you guys knew that. The school is not upscale at all, but it's quite fun because the administration is pretty loose and it's easy to get away with stuff. Actually, last year we built a video game loft and we had an N64 hooked up to a TV hidden away in some abandoned closet, and we'd cut study hall and go play Smash lol. Learning to play acoustic guitar finally. Also, I'm pretty sure I want to become an English teacher and part-time DJ (my dad's business). So teacher by day (financial stability, intellectual fulfillment, working with kids, benefits etc), DJ Vince by night (good income, exciting). I'm also feeling slightly restless and I kind of want to move somewhere eventually, either before or (more likely) after college. I've never been outside the United States and I've toyed with the idea of moving to some other country (far more likely I'll just study abroad). Internet/Nerdy Endeavors: I love absolutely love Joystiq, I go there for all my news. I've actually been going on the Current Events board on GameFAQs lately (crazy social board, has nothing to do with current events). The board usually is pretty funny. Currently playing Dragon Age 2, and I'm actually 20 hours in (usually I'll buy a game cheap, play it a few hours, get bored and either sell it or let it collect dust  ). I've also been doing some Craigslist and yard sale flipping with video game stuff. So I'll buy some stuff cheap, keep whatever I want, and sell the rest for profit. Realife: Living at home, but spending little time there. Going into final year at U of Ottawa in honours biochemistry. Working at an emergency clinic. Spending lots of time with girlfriend. Currently on a summer trip to Australia with her. See other topic for details! Internerd: Well, before coming to Aus I was playing a whole lot of DotA. Up to 5 hours a day some weeks, on average. IRL stuff been taking over lately, esp. at end of school year. Haven't touched my Wii in months. Playing DS almost every day in Aus, a lot of FFTA and when I get bored of that I play Pokemon White. I worked full time for a month here in Aus, and every day I would daydream about maplestory and dota and pokemon and ffta. With such poor internet access during our travels, I've had time to check Facebook, read one or two IGN headlines, and send an email or two. I am really looking forward to DOTA 2, Diablo III, Mass Effect 3. I haven't bought a 3DS, but this Christmas I will need to sit down and decide between a 3DS and a PSV. Missing you guys. |

Hello NFK! Glad to see you're still balling it up. Your plans sound pretty fresh, but don't live too rigidly in college! Hanging out and seeing where life can take you is the best part ;) Real Life: NOT WORKING LIVING AT HOME SLEEPING TILL 3 EVERY DAY PLAYING GAMES. The only way to live your freshman summer oh yes. Hanging out with friends from college every Wednesday, playing poker and chilling outz. Good times! Next semester I have a class at 8:30 am every day of the week, but only 15 credit hours total so life shouldn't be too bad. I'm also trying to get into a study abroad program that goes to South Korea for the Spring 2012 semester! Video Game: Chilling in Diamond league in SC2, hoping to break into Masters this coming year. For some reason I've played much less this summer than I had hoped I would during the school year; I tend to play more relaxed games instead because I am afraid of ladder :( I'm also playing some solo DotAs, missing my #1 gbuddy bigtime. I crushed through FFT on PS1 this summer and got a sweet new desktop as well. Looking forward to Dota 2, D3, and more SC. Bottomline: Starcraft is the best game in the world and I am glad I found this out in college :D |

RL Collège. Screwing around with boats and stuff. In three weeks, I will be on an icebreaker somewhere near Santa's house, for eight months strait (haha a pun!). Confused? Well, the college I am in is an officer training college for the Coast Guard. In training for a while then I'll have my job set up for a long while. Bartend. Do other stuff too, like go outside and play sports. Also working on a book; no idea how it'll turn out. VGL People have lots of spare time, especially since exams are over. Playing multiplayer games with roomies, Borderlands, EDF, SC2 (6 min mutarush FTW) W3, DiabloII, AoE3, ToS, and lots of SSBM (I am #1 in our college ladder). Today we're planning on starting and finishing DKR. Thats right. Diddy Kong Racing. Looking forward to Dota 2, ToX and whatever games that are fun to play, without consuming too much time or effort (I still need to study) |

Real Life Been doing next to nothing over the summer. Right when summer started I had a pretty good shot an internship that turned out to never exist, and by the time I found that out it was too late to get anything else. Since then, my summer's been very similar to Spas', although this is the summer before my senior year, so I probably should be doing some more stuff. I'll be going to a giant lake house in northern Georgia the first week in August with my dad's family, and I'm really looking forward to that, so long as I don't get heatstroke or raped by mountain men. Video Games Since I don't have a job over the summer and the job I had during the school year was well paid but low hours, I don't have a ton of money, and I'm trying to save it so that I know I'll be able to pay off my loan interest during the school year. However, the Steam sale was just too damn good to pass up, so I bought the Valve pack. My hard drive has next to no space on it, so I'm relegated to downloading games one at a time and deleting them when I finish them. Console wise, I've just been going through old games. Working on Master Quest right now, although not very quickly. Oh, and I did get Goldeneye around the time that came out, and that's a lot of fun, although I think I got distracted with schoolwork and never finished it. Mainly I'm waiting til I graduate and find a real job so that I'll have money to spend on games, and free evenings to play them. The one game that I probably will end up getting soon after its release is Skyward Sword, because I'm a huge sucker for anything Zelda. |

Real Life: Graduated college last september, and started the beginning of the end of my life and entered the work force. Ended up as a software engineer for AmTrust Financial, working on the visual basic back end of their website for their auto insurance division. Fun stuff. I'm still currently living at home, but I'm paying my mom rent to live in the basement. I squirrel away most of my money, I have vague plans to move out next year or so, but i'll be damned if it isn't super cheap to live at home, since I don't have to worry about utilities or food, just a flat rent payment every month. Video Games: I've mostly been buying games I don't have time to play.  Got me a 3DS along with a couple of games, I have managed to finish all the games I picked up for it: the Ghost Recon TBS, Dream Trigger (which I adore), and Ocarina of Time. I haven't been able to get much time in with the 360. And I built myself a ballin computer back in december, but I haven't really gamed on it too much since.I go hang out with a bunch of buddies once a week after work and we pass off on fighting games. Super Street Fighter IV Arcade Edition, Marvel Vs. Capcom 3, totally hype for King of Fighters XIII, along with a bunch of older games. |

Real Life I done voluntary work for about a month but now chilling at home. I'm gonna start looking for a job soon! I've just been going to the gym everyday and going out with my mates. Just passed my driving test aswell. Car insurance is pretty expensive, so i'm insured on my mums ford focus, and should start driving in that soon! I've been reading some medical articels and some novels! Video Games I've stopped playing on my 3DS since I finished the Ocarina of time game! I have started to play Zelda : Majoras mask though! |

Im just starting my third year of school now. This is my first semester in Materials Science and Engineering (mouthful lol) so it should be pretty good. Lately I've just been playing my usual games: TF2, Borderlands, Dota. |

Reality: I'm starting college as a 6th year Senior, with 2 more years at least to go. Wishing I didn't change my major, but eh. Took a year long break and worked the night shift at a hotel full time, and managed to scrape by a living with my girlfriend, but I decided I needed to go ahead and get my degree. Saw that nix was in Aus, I'll actually be going to New Zealand this Christmas break, I've only been there once, and it was amazing, so I'm pretty excited. Video Game life: A friend got me into World of Warcraft, and pretty much all I do is manage my 900 member guild. I wish I had time to play. When I do play other games, I play Minecraft, or maybe some Call of Duty or Battlefield on my Xbox. I'll be building a computer for the first time in a few weeks, so that'll be fun too. |

RL: I moved to a new house, still at Oregon. I had the best summer of my life this year. Me and some friends took a road trip down to San Diego with stops in San Francisco, Santa Cruz, LA for Hard Summer which was amazing, and then chilled in San Diego went to a water park and overall just had a blast. I'm capping the summer off with just a mini road trip to SF in a few days. VGL: Not much. Waiting for Gears 3, Skyrim. |

RL: Just graduated high school. Graduated as the top my section. Currently in college studying Aeronautical Engineering. That's about it. Oh, and someone stole my phone just a few days ago >.< VG: PC: Been playing a lot of Starcraft 2 recently. I'm now waiting for Diablo 3. PS3: Been playing fifa 12 during my spare time I got addicted to MW2 for some time, I got up to 7th prestiege before quitting. DS: I'm still stuck with my 7 year old DS phat. I play with it during breaks. Brain Age, age of empires and scribblenauts are great games for stimulating your brain. Wii: meh (flameshield: on) |

If you have a DSi or 3DS, straship defense is pretty good. If not, ninja Town is an alright tower defense game, I can't think of many cart TD games though. |

Man, a while has passed. Real Life I'm in college right now in Iowa. I'm currently undecided in major but i'm studying martial arts like crazy. Judo, Habkido, Taekwondo and Jiu Jitsu. Videogames I'm currently into League of Legends, so look me up there if you play Yahtz3 or Rabakh. |
